A Day That Wouldn't End Once again, I spent my day on a forty-mile forced march. The Sabbath is not viewed during war if it is at all in the army. Extra duty was a favorite punishment among officers. As if they knew what hard work it was to be a soldier without it! An enlisted man can begin envy and hate those that wear the brass but I try my best not to hold that against them.
