Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most commonly diagnosed mental disorders among children. Although most diagnoses of ADHD are made for children, the description of ADHD does not limit the disorder solely to childhood. In fact, many adults are also diagnosed with the disorder too. As a child, I used the mainstream medication Ritalin along with weekly visits to a child psychologist. I also tried the alternative method, the Feingold Diet, but showed no signs of improvement. Also, I have had self-confidence problems, as well as somewhat of an inferiority complex, that I believe stems from my ADHD.
