Society has this image that thin people are much more attractive than heavy people. Because of this, we try to loose weight by dieting. Most people are familiar with companies like Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers. Overweight people are then force to look for a solution to their problem, and the response is an increase in weight loss programs. and heart attacks are some effect of the health problems, which result from being overweight. Overweight people are more likely to have high blood pressure, a major risk factor for heart disease and stroke, than those who are not overweight. Cholesterol can also lead to heart disease and that is also linked to being overweight. In fact, we should be worried about our size not for pure vanity, but for our physical well-being.
