Beloved

Beloved Beloved is a novel that takes place in Ohio during 1873, several years after the Civil War. The book is based on characters who struggle extremely hard to keep from remembering their painful past. The whole story revolves around issues of race, gender, family relationships and the supernatural, and covers two generations and three decades all the way up to the 19th century.
