It has been said that the best things in life are worth fighting for. In the
movie Braveheart starring Mel Gibson this thought is the basis for the whole movie.
This film was based on the real life story of Scotland's rebellion from under English
rule in the thirteenth century.
William Wallace, played by Gibson, was a son of a common soldier. He

it was hard to pay attention to the movie for that length of time.
This is one of the best movies because it is based on actual events in the
history of Scotland and England. It makes it more interesting knowing that a man
with the courage of William Wallace actually existed. The realistic fighting of the
movie made it very appealing and showed how hard the Scottish people had to fight
for their freedom.
