Robert Winthrop includes a large excerpt from "A Modell of Christian Charity" in this book including a clear citation (18-20). Robert Winthrop claims the tract was written on board the Arabella (18), though he notes that in John Winthrop's journal nothing is written regarding the "Modell" being read to a congregation (20). R. Winthrop speculates that the speech was most likely composed on board the Arabella as well presented there (20).
