'Reading, writing, and arithmetic" seem to be the most simplistic ideals and categories of a child's education. liefs on morality. Is it acceptable to take a book out of the hands of a child who is laughing and enjoying it, but the book keeps them reading? Most of these books are important to read, and children should be allowed to do so. The critics are scared that the issues are not appropriate, however sexuality, puberty, independence, peer pressure, and self consciousness are things that young adults deal with on a daily basis.
