Edgar Alan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was a great writer who was born in Boston, January 19, 1809. He died on October 7, 1849. He was a writer known for his poems and short stories. He was the son of David Poe Jr. and Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins. Both of Poe's parents were members of the Boston Theatre. His father had served as Deputy Quartermaster General of Baltimore during the Revolution.
