Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will always haunt me. When I was in elementary school I became involved in Girl Scouts. While I had first thought my lack of singing capabilities would affect me in a negative way for the rest of my life, I have since learned otherwise. I no longer resent those Girl Scouts for turning me off to singing. They enabled me to look elsewhere for a passion. While I still do not sing out loud in front of other people, I have no problem banging on a drum.
