Isaac Newton

Isaac Newton was born on December 25, 1642, at Woolsthorpe, near Grantham in Lincolnshire. Newton was left in the care of his grandmother when his widowed mother remarried. Newton received his bachelor's degree in 1665 from Trinity College, at the University of Cambridge. Newton took a break for almost two years. He then returned to Trinity College and received his master's degree in 1668. Newton's two majors interests were mathematics and natural philosophy. …showed last 75 words of 395 total…observations of the first Astronomer Royal of England, John Flamsteed. Newton needed these observations to perfect his lunar theory. This caused much conflict with Flamsteed. Newton contributed so much more than just science. He also showed great interest in alchemy, mysticism, and theology. He studied the nature of light, invented the flecking telescope, and covered areas such as dynamics, fluid mechanics, tides, mechanics and astronomy. Isaac Newton died in 1727, but his contributions will live forever.
