Imagine temperatures so cold that skin freezes instantly or wind so strong that if you were to hold onto a stop sign, your feet would leave the ground. These are temperature extremes and wind speeds that can occur in Antarctica. While we will not experience such extreme conditions we have to prepare for the worst. To protect ourselves from frostbite and hypothermia caused by exposure to cold temperatures, we are dressed appropriately.

overcome by what we gained on our expeditions to the Antarctic. We gain both academic and emotional knowledge. We now understand the human mind better. We discovered harmony and pure silence. We were also in knowledge that we are the minority that have been to Antarctica, plus after all our gains we give back priceless resources to other scientists about the stars, ice sheet, geology and other considerably important information and all because of us.
