I was born, was born Margaret Hilda Roberts on Oct. 13, 1925, in Lincolnshire, England. I went to Oxford and majored in chemistry. After graduating, in 1947, my first job was as a research chemist for a plastics company in Essex. Afterwards, I started to study law and became involved in the legal practice.
