Macbeth The story of Macbeth is one of murder, greed, deception and treachery. Macbeth's mind was filled with fantasies of success, and riches from the very beginning because of news from three witches that told him of things to come, of being thane of Cawdor, and eventually King of Scotland. The story was a tragedy, but I think that's one of the reasons I liked it, it seemed realistic because it didn't end happily for the main character. Macbeth truly was a good man, he just got mixed up in a bad thing, it was Lady Macbeth who was evil, she had a greater sense of ambition which led Macbeth to his royal thrown of Scotland, and his horrific death.
