In the cyber world we live in today, virtually anything can happen. There is no checking system for identities, no way to be sure that people you communicate with over the internet are really who they say they are. This makes it extremely easy for people to remain anonymous while pursuing less than honorable pastimes.

things happen often. The Teenage Angst/Depression room, however, would, in all likelihood, be host to more profanity, crudeness, and violent outbursts. In fact, it would not be a surprise to find that people go to that chat room to vent after a hard day.
As you can see, the misuse of chat rooms may or may not be directly harmful to a person, but the actions in chat rooms often show problems in society.
