Self-presentation and Clothing - Personal Experience

A knee peeks through a gaping hole where jean fabric has been torn away. Ratty pant-cuffs grind under my filthy shoes as I casually strut my way down the sidewalk. The sound of a wallet-chain banging repeatedly against my leg gives rhythm to movement. A shirt, far too large for a child of nine, drapes down sloppily to my sides, presenting the name of the music that influenced it all, Nirvana. …showed last 75 words of 980 total…my past, though, I have gained a sort of self-confidence in most situations. Although I keep a critical mind on any subject, I learned to maintain a certain level of social decency in conversation. However, in accordance with a rebellious past, I try to maintain an unbiased and open perspective, keeping aware of outside influences. Therefore, with the two extremes under my belt, I have found a happy median of presenting myself through my clothing.
