St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day is on Match 17th. It is named after an Irishman by the name of Maewyn. He almost didn't get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required scholarship. Until the age of 16, Maewyn considered himself a pagan. At that age, he was sold into slavery by a group of Irish marauders that raided his village. During his captivity, he became closer to God.
