Critical Essay The First and the Last John Galsworthy was born in 1867 in Kingston Hill, Surrey, into an upper-middle-class family. John Galsworthy was educated at Harrow and studied law at New College Oxford. Though he was trained as a lawyer, he never practiced law. It isn't too long, so it doesn't bore you to death in the first ten minutes. I would recommend the book to anyone who likes to read and doesn't have much time to do it or isn't very good at reading since the language is easy to follow.
