The Founding of America

Question 1: Since the founding of America, whites have considered themselves to be superior to blacks. After the Civil War, blacks were no longer kept as slave, but they did not receive equal treatment or respect as whites. In the mid 1900's, the Civil Rights Movement fought for true liberty, the fullest intent of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, ultimately succeeded in securing equality through demonstrations, influential leaders and court rulings. …showed last 75 words of 1699 total…the lodge sued, they should not receive any assistance form the government the 14th amendment does not say that the government can support discrimination that different clubs and / or groups created. The 1st amendment does provide the right of privacy, but it does not support group (club) discrimination. One competing interest that is involved is the wellness of society, and the government must protect its people, and the lodge should not be free to discriminate.
