Without beliefs, we sometimes become lost and confused about life. These beliefs keep us motivated throughout life and keep us wondering what the truth is. Had the Hawaiian people not been exposed to missionaries maybe the belief in these nature gods would still exist? Wondering about the origins and unanswerable questions in our minds can only be answered by beliefs. These are the beliefs the Hawaiian people had and some continue to believe in.
