As I stood at the corner of Fifth and Smithfield Street in Downtown Pittsburgh recently, waiting to catch a bus, an elderly woman approached me and began mumbling something inaudibly and incoherently. hopeless, a tiny, fragile creature victimized by the avarice and egoism of others. People will seem larger than life, walking hand in hand, working together towards a definitive goal. It will not be a goal obscured and redefined to benefit the few, but a goal clearly defined to benefit all people regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or any other reason. E. Pluribus Unum will no longer be only a mantra. It will be a reality.
