How did the rise of urban culture and economy which characterized the Renaissance affect (and derive from) ONE of the following aspects of the Renaissance:
a. changes in religion and the organized church
b. the new empiricism in science
c. the revolution in the visual arts
d. changes in societies the way they were governed.
The art, especially Renaissance arts are my favorite of the four and to me was the best to read.

only leading to "heavenly rewards." Ancient Greek and Roman writings had been almost completely ignored before the printing press was invented. Because of the printing press, documents that had been ignored for many years were again picked up, researched, translated, reprinted, and revised. This brought out a lot of information from the ancient times in many areas. Most of the writings emphasized man, his intellect, and his life on Earth. This became the humanist philosophy.
