According to Kant Enlightenment is a man's emergence from his self-incurred immaturity. Immaturity is the inability to use one's own understanding without the guidance of another. This immaturity is self-incurred if its cause is not lack of understanding, but lack of resolution and courage to use it without the guidance of another. In Conclusion many things in our experience convince us that the historical even of the enlightenment did not make us mature adults and we have not reached that stage yet. How ever it seems to me that a meaning can be attributed to that critical interrogation on the present and on ourselves which Kant formulated by reflection on the enlightenment.
