The book "The Great Gatsby", by Fitzgerald, is a very thought provoking book. Throughout this book Gatsby is the center of attention. Everyone is always talking about Gatsby and no one ever really knew his life story, but it never stopped them from talking about him. Just like anyone, Gatsby had his faults, but in the end he is great.
Gatsby is great because of his generosity. He throws big parties and everyone is invited.

No one attends Gatsby's funeral except his father and Nick, and it wasn't because of the rain. These are the only two people who truly know Gatsby. This shows that for all that he did, he never asked for anything in return. As the owl-eyed man said, "Blessed are the dead that the rain falls on." (183) All of this is what makes the "Great Gatsby" great.
